And then, sadly, we lost a very dear friend this week.  Jef Billings, the talented costume designer and director of Stars on Ice, passed away suddenly at his home in Los Angeles.  He designed for Tai and I for nearly our entire professional career.  Even when we made our second or third (maybe even fourth) comeback, he always had the vision to make it all work, even beyond the designs.  Jef was definitely a designer to the stars, not only in figure skating, but then branching out into movies, television and theatre,  designing for stars like Kathy Bates (her Oscar-award winning night, designed by Jef, pictured below!), Sandy Duncan and more.

RIP, dear friend. You always made me smile, then laugh, now cry.
